Recommended credit card for travel (hotel deposit)

Just curious - would you be intending to run up an ongoing bill in the hotel ?They of course want a credit card registered as a guarantee of debt payments in case the client is slow to settle up later.....not that such applies here.Charging drinks etc. to the room account is the usual source of such debts.Does the hotel allow drinks purchased to be settled in cash, or by debit card - that would avoid a credit card build up.You could register any card with a low limit if transactions are not being directed there.0
