Westway Cross Retail Park - Greenford - UKPC Parking Charge

Hi, I have received a Parking Charge for having been parked at 2am to eat my McDonalds. I arrived in the car park at 01:52, went through McDonalds drive-through to order, waited for my order, pulled into a parking space to eat my 3 chicken selects and departed the car park at 02:06 - an entirety of 13m 33s according to my notice. Therefore, actually being parked must have totalled less than 10 minutes. I understand I was parked during restricted times but is there no leeway, like there is with councils, with upto 10 minutes? Also, the reason I did not park in one of McDonalds' bays is because the delivery drivers were all gathered there with their mopeds, playing loud music and being generally boisterous, and i did not feel safe parking so close to them (all male) as a single female at that time. At this stage I am yet to return to the car park to check any signage, position of signs and how visible or readable they would have been in darkness. Any advice, thoughts or suggestions please as I feel it very harsh for the duration involved.

Welcome. You say you understand that there were restrictions where you parked but is that after the fact? Were the signs about any restrictions obvious or not?
You will need to read the Newbies/FAQ thread to get up to speed with the process you are now in. Plan A is always to complain to the landowner and to write to your MP about the unfair/unjust parking charge from an unregulated private parking company.
At least it is UKPC which is one of the more intellectually malnourished bottom-dwellers. If you follow the advice given here, apart from some useless debt collector letters, which although scary are impotent, you will eventually receive a court claim which you will robustly defend using the template defence on here and they will, eventually, discontinue.
Have a read of this thread which you will eventually feature on if you follow the advice:DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

Yes, I am only aware of the restrictions after the fact as I assumed with a fast food drive-thru that such restrictions would be contradictory to the 24-hour service provided. I have returned to this car park to photograph and video signage which is displayed between entering the car park and exiting the drive-thru and whilst there are 2 signs in the surrounding vicinity there is nothing to alert drivers the car park closes at 10pm without walking or driving up to the sign specifically and the signs are not illuminated at night. The car park gates are open 24 hours and there is no signage on approach to the car park or anywhere before the ANPR cameras. I have also not been provided with evidence that I was parked, only photographs showing me entering and exiting.0 -

Exact same thing happened to me, went to the Mac Donald’s drive through at 1.30 in the morn, order food, waited for it, didn’t want to park next to all the moped/boy racers in the macdonalds bays, ate my food in one of the other bays, left at 1.42. And I received a ticket, currently in the process or appeal the ticket, where are you at with your ticket?0

Neither if you will pay, regardless of 'appeal'.It's not a real 'ticket' or 'fine' from an authority.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
