So I've gathered if you want to convert your shop bought audio CD to be stored digitally & you want lossless then you're looking at FLAC. that is true - you are effectively saving it in wav format and while it is perfectly acceptable to do this you do not get the advantages of compression which you get with flac

however if disk space is not a problem you may not be bothered about compression
