'afternoon chaps,
I'm looking to sell my current car, it will bring in £16000. got it for £19000 brand new nearly 4 years ago, so there's a lot of equity there for school runs and shopping.
I'd like to rent a car for a short period of time (up to a month) until I can find a replacement vehicle, a second hand petrol car that will take me to the station and local school every day.
where do I find a well priced rental that I can keep for a month?
thanks

Have you asked your nearest vehicle rental place? I'd probably try to find a local independent one rather than a big chain e.g. Avis, Hertz etc.

not yet. to be honest, I don't know where to start, I never rented a car. I had a rental from work once, but I didn't have to deal with it.
I had a look at the typical suspects (enterprise), but I can't take them seriously with £1000+/month for a corsa... it's probably cheaper to buy it on PCP and sell it after a month, so that's bonkers.0 -
Apparently there are 1 month leasing arrangements available, for something small, you're looking at around £500 for the month. I've not used them though, so this isn't a recommendation.

Why are you waiting a month to buy a new car? There should be plenty of choice for small petrol cars for local trips.
It'll be a lot cheaper to just buy something than rent for a month first.
