Hounslow PCN

Hi, the driver parked in a pay and display bay where the sign advised to 'pay at machine across the road'. The driver could not locate a machine across the road and took the following videos to show what they could see. Using streetview, I still can't locate the machine they were meant to use.

The driver could not see a way to pay the charge, nor anywhere else to park and was subsequently given the following ticket.

Is there a strong case for appeal based on unclear signage / lack of advertised machine?

Pepipoo forums are your best bet for council-issued parking penalties. We deal with speculative invoices issued for alleged breaches of contract by unregulated private parking companies.

Unfortunately you did not look across the road in the continuation of Sutton Lane you panned around Heathfield Gardens and Barrowgate Road.
The actual machine IS across the road outside the Queens Head pub.
Pepipoo is the place to see if they can find a loophole in the ticket or you can persuade the adjudicator that the signage is insufficient.
Looks like a bit of a honeytrap, however you should never park anywhere in london and chance it, if the police were as on the ball as traffic wardens there would be no crime.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
