Using mobile data in Turkey

I have been quoted 35£ for 7 days for mobile data us from my phone provider 3 is there anywhere that can do it cheaper or maybe a sim card would be better - if so would i buy the sim card over here or in Turkey

Don't use a U.K. sim in Turkey, it will cost you a fortune. Set up your voicemail before you leave the U.K. telling people to email or message you, buy a local sim in Turkey.0

Not cheap... the SIM cards that locals use (which are expensive) will not work in a handset that has not been registered on the Turkish system. So you have to buy special tourist SIMs, which are bad value.elsien said:Buy a local sim when you are there.
The best solution is to know where to find wi-fi and not use data at all.3 -
Roaming in Turkey is very expensive so make sure it is turned off on your phone before arriving. On my last visit, I ran up a bill over over £10 in no time at all before I realised.
Local SIMs in Turkey are still quite expensive compared to other countries but still much cheaper than roaming1 -
