Hi there.
My wife is after a new phone and I have said I would research/get one for her.
It has been a few years since I have bought a phone so am not up-to-date on the latest specs.
Any advice on what to consider would be appreciated.
Have read favourable reviews, so far, for:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12
Nokia G60 5G
Have also found quite a few Motorolas that fit the bill but their naming system is overly complicated, to say the least.
Only real requirements are a half decent camera (but I assume that all phones have pretty decent cameras, these days) and possibly 128GB of internal storage.
5G not really needed.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've just got a Motorola G53. 128gb internal memory, 5g and will also take an esim as well as a second SIM.
£170.2 -
Thanks unforeseen - looks like a great phone for the money.
Any downsides you can think of?
How is the photo quality and battery life?0 -
Photo quality is good.
I've only had it a few days so haven't fully checked out the battery life. I need to wait for the weekend as I don't use it during working hours
This is replacing a Motorola G8 that had a dying battery1 -
if you can stretch another £30 the Moto G73 (256gb) has outstanding specs for the money

same price at Argos for collection1 -
Thanks guys - that phone is such a huge step up for not much money. Seems definitely worth it for the extra.

Moto G73 reduced further to £2090

I've been very pleased with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. It's a phone from a couple of years ago, but the camera is pretty good for the price, and the brand is highly thought of. I hadn't heard of it before!0

£200 gets you close to a renewed Pixel 6a. Pure android with plenty of years left with security updates. A quick look on Amazon, they have them for £237 on prime. The Pixel is Androids version of IPhone.0

Look on Argos at Samsung phones, there are a few options below £200.I got a Galaxay A13 from there last November, (I got it at a bargain £130), it's a good phone. They currently have the 64GB Galaxy A14 at £180, it's not the 128 you asked for but it has dual SIM slots and you can put a microSD card in one of them to give up to 1000GB of internal storage.
