Morning everyone
It's forecast to be dry here today so I've hung a load of washing out. Yesterday it rained all day. Little one really enjoyed the craft session at the library - the theme was 'things that fly' so they made various rockets and aeroplanes. After lunch she helped me take all the DVDs off the shelves and pack them into two big bags. Oh, when we went to Poundland I put a pack of razors into the basket and she said, in a loud voice 'Are they to shave your beard granny, you know the spikes on your chin?'
The painter's only been here one day and I'm sick of the clutter already! It's not a big house and there's really no where to put things other than to move them from one room to the next....and I have so many pictures on the walls. He's doing the downstairs loo, small hallway beside the back door and kitchen first then living room, hallway and staircase.
Sunburnt lips are slightly better today - I keep putting lots of lip salve on. I also have a lovely tan - unfortunately it's covered up now!
Camelot -that's a long dental appointment I hope it's ok. Little one is very excited as she's going to the dentist for a check up on Monday - she's never been. Our town has only one NHS dentist and people are having to travel miles to see one elsewhere but luckily DD was registered there so she got little one in too. A lot of people are going to practices over the border in Scotland or an hour away in Newcastle.
I'd better move - hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all, we have sunshine but sadly it's not going to last. I woke up exhausted this morning and don't know why, it's bizarre when I should feel rested so nothing's planned for today but there's always something to do if I can muster up some energy from somewhere. I'm just glad I don't have to go to work anymore, I don't think I could do it today. Tea tonight will be a freezer dip.
Wicked Lady and Snoozer hope you have a lovely time away, enjoy yourselves.
dp1 I hope your lip is a bit better today, sorry I can't offer any information to help you.
Have a good day everyone if you can. Take care all
nan xx

Morning all. didn't get on yesterday, got immediately distracted and that continued all day despite doing what I thought was a big fat nothing much at all.Planning on getting the car washed this morning,[ I would do it but I'll be knakcered after washing just the roof and judging by my dishes washing capability, it won't be clean anyway] and hopefully having a hair cut too. I've ordered my prescription, [thanks NHS app] , had a text from the premium bonds [which is my income supplement usually if I win]. I did pick up a rumptopf jar which I'm very happy with, it's a pale creamy colour, so not in yer face brown. We ate beans, lettuce, tromboncino and courgette from the garden yesterday and today is round his mums for tea. I finally sorted out the clothes so there's another bag for the cs and more in the rag bag and the room looks less dumping ground now. How long it lasts? you know...I'm going to give the vinted app a go this week some time, I found some kevlar jeans I'm not giving away and some proper vintage 60s stuff [ well, not found, I knew it was there] so I'll give selling that a go.TA, hope your finger is less throbby today. Jackie, great news, hope they chuck you out today too. dp1, ouch, not nice having a sore lip, you can't help but move it! Gers, I did snigger at your time travel comment. There's no point telling her, she never comes back. Nels always used to wonder if it was a bot..carolbee, hopefully you won't be keeping it tidy for too long. Houses seem to go like hot cakes still, inflation or no inflation. snoozer, good luck with family shenanigans..WL, have a lovely time! Ruby, hows your mum now? bella, just out of pacice is all. nanny, hope you rediscover some oomph late on...Izzy, well done on sticking to yuor no work at home guns! Take care all, it's quite nice here for a change, better make the most of it...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Morning everyone, well we got half a morning without rain today
hopefully just a shower.
Yesterday DH had a day off and wanted to go to Bury Market but go on the bus as we got lost trying to find a car park last time. He wanted to go to the book exchange .Got to the bus station just in time for the bus to come in, loads of people waiting. It promptly reversed and parked up and we had to wait another 15 mins for the next one to arrive, no explanation. It was then very full when we all got on, luckily we got seats. 5 books happily bought and old ones exchanged. Next he wanted the sweet stall for liquorice but we spent ages looking for the stall, found it eventually. Got a bit of stuff from the meat and fish bit and went back for the bus, as DS2 was coming in the afternoon with the DGC. Lovely to see them together as DGD has been spending a lot of time at her mothers & we hadn't seen her for 2 weeks. She gave me a big hug, not 12 yet and she's taller than me by about 3 inches now.
We had some of the bought meat for tea- very nice too.Glad to see Jackie's op went ok and hopefully home soon.CarolB ,ooh fingers crossed for the viewing.DH is back home after checking something on a job and is going to price a new extension now.Take care all x

RosyRed - only been to Bury market once - bought so much yarn that I had to buy a suitcase to get it home on the train.
Trying to make something today but it is taking ages - may be a one off.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
