Travel Insurance for Bike Rental in Italy

Hi,
I am hiring 2 bikes from Cycle Classic Tours in Italy in September.  I am struggling to find bike insurance to cover the bikes. I am looking at a couple of companies such as Yellow Jersey, but I would really love to receive recommendations from someone who has already done this.  I have approached the company but they have been unable to help

Can you not get insurance via the rental company in Italy?

No, I have approached them, they send me over to the company that is sub-renting the bike and she says "what are you worried about we have not had any bikes stolen".  I might have to pursue the original company because it states that we have to have it their terms and conditions, but I was just trying to sort it out myself because both are slow to communicate with me.
