Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on how much it would cost to have a company to move the contents of my 2 bed bungalow half a mile down the road please?

Is there much of an increase if the company does the packing too?

We are Warwickshire based.

Thanks

Last year I moved out of a 3 bed semi detached about 3 miles away. Packed ourselves and cost about 850 with a removal firm rather than 'man with a van'.

Was absolutely worth it to us in practical and stress free terms as we moved to a 3 storey and some heavy furniture going up two flights
  • Similarly we moved from 3 bed end terraced in Feb to 4 miles away, we did all the packing. £600

Our last removal was about 1km for a 100sqm/2 bed property and was about £850 inc the removers doing the pack on the same day.

Quotes we received ranged from £850 to about £2,500 with one company saying it was 4 guys for 2 days whereas 3 guys did it under 1 day

Just get some quotes - you can get these online, not all companies visit, some will just take your details and give a quote based on size of property and distance
