LG TV 55UN71006LB
Maybe 3 years old I think.
I don't know if the TV has ever been tuned in as it's only been used via wifi.
For some reason I just cannot get this TV to tune to ANY TV stations at all.
Everything checks out OK with the aerial & all the connections.
I have plugged another TV into the aerial socket & that retunes OK.
Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong ?
TIA

I think that TV has both Freeview and Freesat, check the settings and make sure you are tuning the right one.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Perhaps explain exactly what you do and exactly what it says on screen. Don't forget to also tell us if you are using an aerial or satellite dish0

Using an aerial as I said in my original post.PHK said:Perhaps explain exactly what you do and exactly what it says on screen. Don't forget to also tell us if you are using an aerial or satellite dish
What do I do ?
Set the TV to digital auto tune.
The searching bar move from 0% to 100% but no stations are found at all.

I got a call on Sunday morning from a neighbour who is also a friend. Her husband has Dementia so TV is a lifeline in some way.s.She is on Virgin and TV not working. So off I go and check everyting is connected - no reported problems in the area.Put new batteries in remote and hey presto it works.Sometime we fail to see the obvious.- it rewally could be something as simple as that as the other TV works.1

Have you tried a reset back to factory settings?1

Nothing to do with the remote.Grey_Critic said:I got a call on Sunday morning from a neighbour who is also a friend. Yes tried that.flaneurs_lobster said:Have you tried a reset back to factory settings?
Contacted LG helpline yesterday & they accessed the TV remotely.
All they did was what I had been doing.
Suggested I contact an engineer.
A 3 year old TV is not really worth an engineer callout.
I think I will get a replacement main board off ebay & replace that.
