Can you post a link to the property on the TUI website or name the hotel.0

powerful_Rogue said:WeeTee said:@CKhalvashi - thats not really the point about whether I could go and purchase water or not - the point is that TUI is advertising that there are multiple places open within the large complex in which to order drinks/food and there wasnt. I have never been anywhere, where I couldnt get a drink whenever i wanted - what about all inclusive guests? Should they be expected to queue for hours for a beer when they've already paid for it upfront??Didn't you earlier sayI'm not sure how other guests experiences matter as we arent talking about anyone else but us and our experience.0

I have experience of trying to claim (from another major company) for a mis described holiday - in our case we were lucky to get back alive and nothing like the description in the brochure. I slung all the breaches of the law at them but got nowhere until they paid me half to go away after 9mts. And there were a group of us at the beginning.First you have to value how your experience differed from what they were offering and what it cost you.You have to express that in a letter/email to them. When it's more about the poor experience that made your holiday unpleasant it's very hard to quantify. The unsafe door is a problem but it seems that was more or less sorted, just not to your satisfaction.Knowing TUI reps who are probably underpaid and under pressure from their employers and nipping between multiple hotels I'm going to guess that your complaint wasn't put in writing at the time?

@twopenny - thanks for your comment - TUI have responded today saying they are not taking it further and that is their final decision (despite having never addressed any of the issues we raised). when i spoke to the TUI rep, he wrote everything down but I dont think anything was formally done at the time.0

Meah it really is up to you. Is it important enough to take it forwards or do you need to let it go?
It did begin to take over my life and ruined the good bits of my trip by persistently going over what was wrong. I won at a cost over months. But I have this thing about not being bullied and persist.
For you the items seem smaller but I wasn't there and didn't get the stress.
Do you want to persevere? Can you put a price on how it affected your holiday?
When it comes down to any claim it's about cost - what you lost. It's why so many get away with poor service. That's really hard to put a price on.
And they have experienced legal team compared to someone who's had a miserable time.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
