I'm 51 i've been saving for a mortgage deposit but the account is not viable for any great interest, where should I put my savings.   I recently invested a small amount into a 7% fixed for a yr but not sure where to put the rest.

    Who's paying 7% on a one year fix (other than the First Direct regular saver), and why didn't you put the rest of your money in there too, if that's a suitable timeframe for your requirement?
