Figleaves did not deliver goods and want to refund me! But I want my bikini!

Hi,

Some time ago, someone posted a voucher for figleaves sales. I ordered a bikini and a bottom. I was quite happy to find something my size (34E and 12). However, I was in the process of moving places, so, as Figleaves was offering to leave the parcel at the post office for collection instead of delivering to my billing address (they would only deliver at the address related to the card), I asked for the goods to be left at the post office.

I went to the post office, so happy to get my bikini for £10.50, but the nice man explained to me that the Royal Mail cannot keep third party companies parcel as a matter of security and it had to be returned to the company. Fair enough, in those dark ages of international terrorism. So I emailed figleaves telling them to deliver to my new address and telling them off for offering a service that does not exist in real life.

I got 2 messages from them saying they will dispatch the goods to my new address (which had become my billing address in the meantime).

Yesterday I received a message telling me this, force its to remind everyone here that I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PACKAGE WHATSOEVER:

"Dear Marlene

Thank you for your returned goods; these have now been processed for you.

As it was not clear whether you require a refund or a replacement, you will therefore now be refunded for the returned items. This should appear as a credit on your card within the next few days.

Should you require an alternative item, please place a new order for this in the usual way.

I am sorry that you've had to return items to us. Is there anything we at Figleaves could have done to help prevent this? Do please let us know if we could have done something to make your experience of shopping with us easier.

In the meantime, should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

With best regards

Roger Spring
Figleaves Customer Service"

I sent them a pisse doff email saying that I could not return the goods as I never received them, that I was very disappointed in their service, that I wanted my goods instead of a refund.

be credited by 10.30GBP for the goods returned from shipment number 1265774/1.
If your refund does not appear on your next statement, please contact us for

What should I do guys? I dont want to be refunded, I want my goods, I told them I needed them as I was going on holiday next week (which is not true, but I thought it could wake them up)... All of this proves that they did not read my emails and just did a copy and paste. Their service is appalling.

Thx for any help.

Phone them. Obviously sending an email is completely useless judging by their inability to extract the relevant information from it.

Alternative number for Customer Services...0161 444 0638. (If you're registered with 18866 it'll only cost you 2p connection charge and 0p per minute.)

Quicker and easier speaking to someone about this imo.

ok BIG update on this as well

I got a £10 voucher from figleaves... On my previous Original order, i could buy the bikini top and bottom. But they were never delivered and they kept on saying i returned them, when i phoned they told me that because it was an end of line product they coudl not deliver anymore. My orginal order was £10.5 for top and bottom.

Now the sales were finished i had to pay £8 after the voucher just for the top, the bttom would work out to be £14 (!!!!!!!). So I only bought the top.

They sent me the wrong size (12A/B instead of 12E/F). So i sent it back. about 3 weeks ago. Not hearing from them i snet hem an email ienquiring about the location of my bikini top.

This is what I got in return:

"Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately we are out of stock of the item that you requested, and the manufacturers have actually ended the product line so that we will be unable to receive further stocks. As such you have been refunded the £8 you paid (this is the normal price minus the voucher you used) This should appear on your card within a few working days.
My apologies that we were unable to complete your order on this occasion."

is it me or it seems to me they advertise big cup sizes in normal busts but dont actually have the products? do you think I can push it to have a further discount?

Marlene, can you be bothered with the hassle though?? They really appear to be a rubbish company to deal with, and even if you like their stuff, would it not be easier to go and shop elsewhere? I would take the attitude that "well, you can't provide me with the service I want, get me the goods I want, you invent services that don't exist, I'll take my custom elsewhere".

Thx Faith, but I really wanted that Bikini.
Does anyone know how hard it is to find a bikini in size 34E?

I dont think I will be bothered with them ever again, you are right. And I am going to make sure that all my friends know how bad they are! i think I ll go and buy a bikini at Bravissimo when they have a sale on or something... Still they are very pricey! And I am skint!

I'm smiling reading your post as I need something somewhat larger than a 34E, so I understand your problem very very well!!
I use Bravissimo a lot, and you're right they are expensive, but then the fit and quality is great. And they often have less expensive items. Although I'm still very jealous when I see some of my friends buying bras for less than £10. But, hey I'll never have to buy chicken fillets!!
Anyway, I'm digressing because my point was that, today, I got a postcard from Bravissimo and they're having a sale in their shops. It starts on 11th July. I hope their is a shop next to where you live.

i also have the smae problem of the difficulties of getting a 34e top! I've used figleaves and found them quite good. 3 weeks ago i cheekily ordered the same bikini top in 5 sizes as I wasn't sure of the fit of the brand. None fit, sent back and was refunded my cash in a week. Sorry to hear of your annoyances. Theres a good site here called breasttalk which allows you to search loads of sites and often has really good permanent discounts for figleaves and otehr places.

It annoys me also that underwear and swimwear in my size is often more expensive than the same item in a smaller size - surely its not that much more material .

Bravissimo have got some nice clearance items and are generally very good.

And, ironically enough, one of the links from Breastalk takes you directly to the Figleaves summer sale!!!!

Well, perhaps you should come and spend a weekend in Newcastle :D We have a lovely Bravissimo shop. :T There is lots to see and do up here! And if it rains plenty of pubs to go and get drunk
