Car Repair
Our Car was parked.Van reverse into front of parked car.
Minor front Bumper Damage.
Full Lability Accepted by Driver.
Very much Apreciate sharing thoughts/advice/ experience.
Option Van driver Insurance.
Was shocked. Local Garage so far.
Estimates £1000/£1300.

One reason not to involve your insurance company in sorting it out is chance of a write off increases.
By all means inform them, but if a bodyshop will do the job for £1,000 and the other party insurance are happy with that level of cost bodyshop invoices insurance third party insurance company.

This happened to me. Take it to a dealer and let insurance deal with it. Turns out crash bar was bent as was the light cluster. Also, a few weeks later the airbag light came on so it was an immediate MOT failure as well.

Yes looking at bodyshop to do the job that other party insurance confirm happy with that level of cost bodyshop invoices.

How old is the car?
Is the damage structural (needs to be repaired) or purely cosmetic?
£1k is really not much for any kind of car bodywork repair these days.0
