Company slow responding and no offer of refund

hi there,
Naively bought some items through an Instagram ad. Received items of clothing but want to return as 1) quality not good and 2) items don't fit.
Reached out to company for return, they emailed back to say they would offer a 30% discount (refunded to my card - paid by credit card) and I don't have to send the items back. I don't want to do this so I asked them to provide a return address. Still not heard back.
Did some research on google and many people complaining on trust pilot that they have received same emails and eventually when they did return 1) It was to china and 2) company didn't refund because it took too long to get the item back to them
What rights do I have to get my money back? Can't do through consumer act 2015 as each item was less than £30 - although cumulatively was over £200

Welcome to the forum.Who was the company? It depends where the company is - in the UK you have 14 days to reject the items (but may be liable to cover the postage of return). If you have the companies name (you probably won’t be able to include a link yet as new accounts can’t typically) then it can assist on the advice you get from the board.0

You are going to have to look at Chinese consumer regulations.
In effect the best option is take the 30% & do not buy anything that is seen on social media, without 1st researching the company. As 99.9% are from that area.Life in the slow lane1 -
Good advice from previous posters above, but why do you believe that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 only covers items costing more than £30? Have you read this somewhere?Pam28 said:

CRA 2015 applies equally to all purchases regardless of cost, although cost is mentioned in general terms in some sections.
Perhaps you are thinking of the Consumer Credit Act 1974? Section 75 of this Act deals with claiming instead from your credit card provider if you can't claim from the retailer. To qualify for s75 protection each item would have had to have cost at least £100.

I hold the same view as born_again. It is very common these viral clothing ads that plague social media are being supplied from China and typically require return to China as a refund condition. Cheap prices and photoshopped pictures is par for the course.born_again said:

I feel 30% of your money back and keeping the clothes is as good an offer as you'll get. You could easily end up in a situation where you pay to send all the clothes to China, they claim they don't receive them, and you never see the money or clothes again, and are out of pocket a pretty penny in shipping.Know what you don't0 -
Thanks for the above info - the company is MyLoxi0

How can I reject the items if there is no return address?0 -
Is it possible for them to block my email?
I've tried to reply to their emails and I've had bouncebacks both times.

A chargeback will sadly require the goods to be returned, this process is offered by the bank in addition to consumer rights so isn't required to mirror them.Pam28 said:

Best bet is to haggle over the amount they offering if you can
