Bank account not on Experian credit report

Looking at an Experian credit report, a current bank account from RBS (about twenty years old and still used) doesn't appear. The Experian website says that it's the responsibility of the bank, and RBS say it's Experian. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Apart from that not every financial institution reports to every CRA, some only add them on at the start of a contract and if that pre-dates their relationship with a CRA then it will never get added. When you say "current bank account", do you mean "current account" or do you mean an account that is in current use? Remember that savings accounts, ISAs etc. are never reported, only accounts that are of the account type "current account".1 -

"Your account may have been opened before permission to share full data (through the terms and conditions) as opposed to just showing defaults, was updated, as was once the norm.
Some banks will allow you to provide consent now for older accounts which enables them to start sharing that data.
There's a chance that whoever you spoke to wasn't particularly clued up on this issue so perhaps you could ask to speak with someone more senior".
