Unusual alignment in a Spreadsheet cell

Just something I'm curious about.

I use LibreOffice Calc but this question probably applies to Excel too.

If you have a column with cell contents like Jan 2023, Feb 2023, Oct 2023 etc and you select Centre as the alignment, the first letter of each cell value doesn't always align with the first letter of the cell above or below.

Is there any way to have each cell value aligned to the centre but with the first character of each cell positioned exactly above/below the others? A sort of 'Centre and Left Justified' at the same time.

Left justify, then indent.  Should do it.  Assuming the above is what you want.

    Kind Regards,

Now there is a  oxymoron: centre justify and left justify ! :)

You might expect , given your examples with Identical length, the centre justify would mean start and end of the text would line up for each column entry. Not really as per the above potential solution to you problem as the entries are of different lengths!

Could it be that the displayed text font is one of the proportional types? If so try  a monospaced font (equal space per character i.e. fixed width/pitch) such as Courier.

I use Excel, and these are where you find those options the ones with blue arrows pointing left and right, there maybe something similar on Libreoffice
