Boiler insurance

Hello, I feel a bit stupid making this post, but here goes.
I have a plan with Domestic and General where I pay £27.61 a month. I get £700 towards the cost of a new boiler if it breaks down.
I took this out after speaking to the manufacture of my boiler, Worcester Bosch, thinking I was being wise.
Here is why I feel stupid, the plan does not cover boiler maintenance, checking for corrosion, sludge, limescale and it does not cover flue inspection or inhibitor.
I am on the autistic spectrum but I know that is not an excuse for stupidity.
The stupidity lies in me assuming that boiler maintenance, checking for corrosion, sludge, limescale and it does not cover flue inspection or inhibitor, were all part of the service.
I have a service booked with Homeassist365.co.uk, the contractor hired by D&G on the 18th August.
I need some guidance. I am female and live alone, but being female is no excuse, as homeowners should make it their business to know about such things, however I was ignorant of the fact that I did not know. I just thought it sensible to take out insurance.
I got the boiler installed in 2015, and the last time it had inhibitor was 2019.
I don't have a few thousand lying around to pay for a new boiler.
When I do need a new boiler, I want it re-siting for reasons outside the scope of this thread/question.
Would it be a good idea for me to choose an insurer who will maintain my boiler, and give me money towards the cost of a new boiler?
If so, where is the best place to look online for such an insurer?
Have I been duped?
Many thanks for reading this post.

If you go with an insurance with a built in service they will be far more expensive and worse value.
Keep your current insurance if you feel you need it and get your servicing done separately through a decent local company.
You haven't been duped by anyone.

Thanks, I think will just ask my heating engineer who does other heating/plumbing jobs to do it next year.0
