National Grid shares

Telephone number [Removed by Forum Team] called today (31/07) from New York USA they said, and were asking whether I might be willing to sell my National Grid shares for between £18 – 22 . Current price is £10.20 or so, so this “seems too good to be true”. They did not want any information from me, except for an email address, which I gave them. They said I would be emailed some paperwork within the hour. They have sent me a non-disclosure agreement, which I have yet to sign and send back. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

The company issuing the NDA (non disclosure agreement ) is Vista Financial Advisers LLC. They seem to be a Private Equity Investors firm, based in NY,0

Cold called with an offer that 'seems to be too good to be true' - I'd hang up immediately!'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn’t, pays it' - Albert Einstein.2

It is too good to be true and you shouldn't have given them any information. No legitimate company buys shares in this manner and building up shareholdings in secret is against Stock Exchange rules.3 -
It's a very obvious scam. If they actually wanted to buy National Grid shares they could do so on the stock market for the listed price.2

You responded to that? I mean, really? 🙄1
