"The Society said it hopes as many members as possible will become eligible for the reward, and it intends to make the payment annually, provided this would not be detrimental to the Society’s financial strength."
That's not actually a 'promise', and neither does it state that the eligibility terms (which were the controversial bit), if the payment is made again, will be the same again.

I apologise about any confusion caused - I’ll edit the post to reflect this. I realise I worded it incorrectly with the intention to explain this year’s eligibility criteria, suggesting it could be the same each year.

However, I do stand by my report as I found the word used offensive and believe alternative words could be found with a better attitude. In fact, most individuals we’re making out I’d made the offer up, when in-fact evidence for the possibility for an annual payout does exist. I’ve also read plenty of inaccurate information on the forums, although never thought I’d have the decency to argue with people or offend them for a simple mistake. If it has been brought to my attention politely, it would have been amended immediately with no question.

Thanks for taking the time to review & editing your post.

You’re right, there is plenty of inaccurate information posted on the forums. If I see an example which no one else has corrected, I will do so.
I politely asked you for your source. I don’t see anything argumentative or offensive in that or in subsequent posts.

Now I understand. I guess I missed them.
