Uber

Are there any reward cards out there that I could earn points or cash with for using Uber?

Any rewards card will pay you cashback or points for using Uber. You can see the main options here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-credit-card-rewards/
  • I have a Chase card for payment to them as it gives 1% of the cost as a reward
    Sometimes I wonder...
"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
    ...and then it hits me

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
  • So if I spend £80 a month on taxis , I get 80 pence ? That's not worth it

Well it's better than not getting 80 pence.  And if you use the same card for all of your regular expenses like grocery shopping, paying for holidays, Christmas presents, whatever it may be, then it starts to add up.
There are plenty of other cards available as well which give different rewards - e.g. Nectar or Clubcard points, Airmiles, just choose one that is of value to you (for instance, Airmiles probably aren't worth much if you hardly ever fly anywhere).
You're never going to get rich from cashback or reward points, but given that it's "money" for nothing, you may as well get what you can.  Just don't be tempted to buy stuff that you don't actually need purely to rack up the points.
Personally my "main" credit card is a Tesco one, even though Tesco isn't my main supermarket (I'm more Aldi/Lidl).  I've had it for donkey's years, put pretty much all my spending on it (always clear in full every month), and every 3 months I think it is, get an envelope delivered with 40-odd quids-worth of clubcard vouchers.  Sure, it's not a fortune, but it pays for a nice treat and it's free money for just spending what I would have spent anyway.  I'm not saying it's the best one in terms of rewards by any means, but it suits me and it's always nice to have a load of points stashed up to buy some treats at Christmas or whatever.

That's the best you'll get in this country I'm afraid.

If you collect Avios points, you can also link your BA Executive Account to your Uber account and get Avios points for every ride you take. This is on top of any cashback or rewards you get through your credit / debit card.

Its the best you'll get if you want cashback but if you are collecting club card points or Avios etc then they can represent a higher value than 1%

Yes any card will give you points. Amex sometimes have offers. You have to login to your account and see deals. If there's one for uber you can select. It might give you double points or some discount. Worth looking out for. But you have to make sure you select it as it's not automatic.

What exactly are you expecting? 1% cashback is a fairly good return for the UK, and bear in mind it applies (on that particular card) to your spend on other things too, such as groceries, petrol, whatever, it would be more in total. Take it or leave it I guess.
