Insurance claim payout agreed but now ghosting us!

Hello All
I'm hoping someone may have some "gee them up" advice.
Late last year our house and cars were covered in resistant industrial overspray from a nearby industrial unit getting spray coated externally. It has happened with quite a few houses/cars in the area.
A liability claims handler was put in charge of the overall claim and people either dealt with a company doing repairs or directly. We dealt directly and 2 settlements was agreed on 1st June. One which paid a car detailing company to correct the vehicles and one which paid us directly for damage to property which can't be put right so as compensation. We emailed agreement to the offer and they replied asking for the bank details which we returned forthwith.
As of today, 2 months later, the funds have not arrived but more frustratingly, they are completely ignoring all emails and calls. We have asked that they at least confirm when payment will be made then we know it has/hasn't safely arrived. I don't mind if its 1/2/3 months (although I would like my was brand new car sorting asap), I don't think an expected completion of matters is much to ask.
Is there any precedent that they have to adhere to now that they have agreed settlement etc?
Anyone else had this and how long it took to complete?
Thank you.

You are not their customer and so there are no laws or regulations about how long it takes them to settle and you've no ability to go to the ombudsman.
Good practice would be that you settle as practicably possible after liability and quantum being agreed however depending on the parties involved money sometimes has to move through multiple companies hands before your case handler has it to pay over to you.
Your only real option is to send a letter before action to both the case handler but also the company that caused the damage (as they are the ones you'd issue against) giving them a reasonable number of days to make payment else you'll be proceeding to issue against them.1
