Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Damp and murky start to the day. Not raining at the moment, but rain forecast for later.
Dinner last night was LO chicken and mushroom pie, chips and beans for DH and I had sausages, chips and beans. Tonight I'm not sure,
Work not too bad yesterday although, it was a bit all or nothing. We'll see how today goes.
Keep safe and well x

good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Yeserday was showery, I think today is going to be the same. Not a lot happening here today, except a hairdressers appointment, it's badly needed as well, I look terrible. We'll go to the quiz tonight as usual.I should do some washing, in fact I must do it, but it's going to have to be draped over the airer, some can go in the dryer. The de humidifier has a laundry drying setting as well, I might press that into service.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.14

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Well what a surprise, it's been raining again. After a wet early start yesterday we were left with just a dismal day and quite windy. But no rain!
The DGDs invited themselves for tea which was nice as I don't see nearly enough of them now they don't need "minding". Although it was hard work at the time I miss the days of looking after them when they were younger. They are at ballet summer school every day this week ( 9 to 5.30) practicing for their Saturday night performance of Swan Lake. I'm looking forward to it.
I need to pop down into town today at some point. I hope I manage to miss any heavy rain.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and MIA. Welcome back DP1 your little break sounded lovely. Good luck JACKIE I hope all goes well. Take care all be safe xx

Morning All
Dismal start this morning but better than yesterday - it rained constantly all day. There's a towel load in but I think it will be staying inside.
Little one was good yesterday although she had a couple of episodes of being a bit cheeky - soon put a stop to that! Once she left I got some more painting done, should finish the living room today.
Glad you had a good time dp1, must have been lovely to see the sunshine.
Hope your bruises are fading Nanny.
That's a lot of practicing for the girls TA, hope you enjoy the performance.
Happy haircut Scarlet.
Thinking of you today JackieO.
Enjoy your meet up iris.
Off to the little cheap shop this morning once I'm organised, nothing planned for this afternoon so painting it will be!
Take care. XX

Morning all- thanks nmlc. Good luck to Jackie today.Well it's not raining here atm, I can even see a little patch of blue but it's windy. Nothing much planned today, DH & DS1 both out at work now, DS was quite late back yesterday. The job at Dbs will finish sooner than planned- think they'll be pleased as their little dog yapped at them all day!Dp1 your trip sounds lovely.Scarlet - happy hair day. Mine isn't looking too good either- I had some blonde highlights put in a while back, which went even blonder with the sun in June & now they're growing out. Don't think I can justify the expense every few weeks- might stick a home dye on to soften the contrast.Enjoy your meet up with the 'girls' IrisHope the painting goes well Camelot and Florence.Hope the bossy wife wasn't too annoying Izzy.TA , I miss those happy days of minding the DGC too, we see more of DGS normally, picking up from school nearly every day, but DGD will be off to high school in Sept. and wont need picking up. She used to stay with her other Nan a couple of times during the week who lives near to DS as her Mum doesn't drive and her school was tricky to get to but the high school is a lot nearer. Not seen her for nearly 2 weeks as she's had a cold tooNot sure what's for tea yet, probably some fish from the freezer.Enjoy your day whatever you're up to x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Dry here so far
Short but sweet today as DGS has just been dropped off for the day and we are very involved in reading his new tractor book and doing a jigsaw. We'll walk up into town later for tea and a toasted teacake and get a couple of bits of shopping.
DH made two shepherd's pies yesterday so one has gone back with DD and we'll have the other one this evening.
Good luck for today Jackie O and hope everyone else has a good day.13 -
Morning everyone
It rained most of yesterday - I spent a lovely couple of hours helping little one to build a cattery with Duplo - as you do! Today it's forecast showers, I'm going to take a chance and hang my washing out as the rest of the week it's to be rain and more rain.
I've a decorator coming today to paint the inside of my house - it was meant to be in September but someone else has changed when they wat their's done. He's going to start with the kitchen and downstairs loo - I really don't like anyone in my house doing work though I do know him so it won't be too bad. His children both came to our nursery and school and eldest DD worked for his family years ago.
I still haven't unpacked properly so I'll do that later. I need to pop down to mam and dads this morning.
Little one was delighted yesterday as DD bought her a trampoline and built it while she was at my house - she bounced in the rain when she got home. I had already been 'the best granny ever' earlier when we were unpacking the shopping and she found rocket ice lollies - she made the delivery man laugh.
TA - little one told me that she'll still come and play with me when she's 20! She was quite shocked that I thought she'd be too old!
Right I'm waffling so I'll get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all 😃
We got back from our holiday at 6 yesterday evening having been travelling for about 12 hours, needless to say we were shattered and had a quick takeaway and we’re in bed for 8.30 I think I had the best nights sleep I have ever had !
The holiday was fabulous the first week was simply beautiful on our lovely quiet island, we spent most days exploring the island on the quad bike and swimming and snorkelling and long lunches with wine and then back to the place early evening to get showered and out for the evening.
The second week we moved islands to Skopelos which was where mama Mia was filmed and it was a bit of a shock, it was so busy and rammed with people, it was nice to visit and we found the quieter parts of the island but we would not go back - it was just too busy for us, the temps were ok with just two days where it got quite unbearable at 42 deg 🥵 we swam a lot of those days as that’s the only relief you could get apart from being in the apartment with the air on on, even the Greek people were suffering.
Back to reality today and the first wash load is already on the go, several to follow it and cases to be unpacked etc, dd kept the house really tidy so not too much to do there.
The dogs were so pleased to see us and little dog was almost howling with joy 😃
I hope everyone is ok not had chance to read at all.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all. After buying the grab rail for the bath I did my bit of shopping while waiting for himself to peruse the tools in Lidl and buy another electric gadget 🙄 I decided to call in the surgery, it was bedlam in there ! Anyway after getting a bit firm with "Rebecca" which is not me as I'm usually easy going, I finally got someone to understand that I was having reactions to my thyroid meds and I needed a blood test before I saw a GP. Bloods and BP all booked for 2 weeks time now. When home I had to wash the shower curtains to calm myself down and then finished my jigsaw 😂
This morning there is a bright yellow ball in the sky so I have done 2 loads in the wm plus the bedding from Sat, which is all blowing on the whirly and my overflow washing line is in use too. It's starting to cloud over a bit but it's breezy so that'll have to do, at least they'll dry a bit as the rain is due back tomorrow. The DW is on too as I forgot to press the go button last night, doh.
I'll shut up now and wish everyone a good day, especially Jackie, hope the op has gone well.
Snoozer glad to see that I'm not the only one having to visit the surgery.
Rosy and dp1 DGD has already said she will be coming here for tea every Tues even though she'll be in secondary school. Can't get rid of them and I think DGS will be coming here when he's 40 given half a chance ! 🤣 Never had a such a rapport with my grandparents, seen and not heard in those days.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.
