Hotpoint Integrated Washing Machine repair

Hello all,
I've a Hotpoint Washer Dryer BHWD149 which is ~4 years old. The drum has gone noisy, especially during spinning which I believe is down to the bearing. I believe I can hear the bearing noise as I rotate the drum by hand. I could also feel some more than normal movement when I shook the drum.
I've cleaned all the inside of rubber seal and the pump filter (front bottom), there were lots of bits of limescale but that did not help the noise.
Since I thought the WM had 10 years parts warranty, I called up Indesit customer care who are aligned with Whirlpool I think. The best repair they advised was on a Whirlpool repair contract for 6 months for £22.68 per month. The total comes to £136 that covers parts and labour. The work is guarantee for 6 months including replacement. Is this a good deal or is anyone aware of any better deals than this?
Other thing I am thinking is to just buy a new machine, I see similar machines for £300 on marketplace.
Could someone offer any advice please?
Thanks.

I wouldn't have thought you'd get bearings replaced by anyone for much less than £130, if they can be replaced in that machine.
As to whether it's better to get it mended or to buy a new machine - only you can decide.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1 -
One thing is certai you will not be able to buy a new washing machine for £130 ,your old machine might need a new drum as some have bearings which are not replaceable.ITS NOT EASY TO GET EVERYTHING WRONG ,I HAVE TO WORK HARD TO DO IT!1

They must be joking. We are born naked, wet and hungry...Then things get worse.
.withdrawal, NOT withdrawel ..bear with me, NOT bare with me
.definitely, NOT definately ......separate, NOT seperate
should have, NOT should of .....guaranteed, NOT guarenteed1 -
A 4-year old Hotpoint with failed bearings? Surely not of satisfactory quality.
Do you have Legal Protection included in your house insurance? If so, call them up for advice. If not, call CAB.
Although you have serious limescale - so probably should have been Calgoning a bit more - the main drum bearing should not have been affected by this. Unless you have been carrying out an excessive amount of washing, then the remaining conclusion is that the bearing was inherently faulty.
What noise does it make? And this excessive movement - is there obvious 'play' there?1 -

I bit the bullet and bought a new Zanussi WM before going.
Still have the old Hotpoint one, thinking of disposing it cheaply on FB marketplace so someone else can fix it. It makes a droning noise akin to failed bearings when it is running at high speed. When I shake/ push the drum towards rear of machine, I see easy to-and-fro movement instead of expected tightness.0
