Loan through third party for dental work - refund.

Hello,
I started invisilign treatment through my dentist, they offered a finance option through a third party loan company which I applied for and the company paid my dentist directly.
It was then established that after begining my treatment Invisilign would not work for me. I requested a refund which the dentist has kindly agreed to pay me, but then have requested my bank account details to pay me directly.
I just want to check before accepting this where I stand in regards to interest I have paid. I understand if I had independently sourced a loan then I would be liable to pay the interest. Would the dentist need to pay the loan company back the refund, or is it my responsibility to pay them?
I started my treatment in March 2022, the original dentist treating me then left in October just after I went back as the Invisilign stopped working, I then had to wait until February 2023 to see a new dentist to then be told I could not continue treatment. In this time I continued to pay loan and overall have paid around £500 of interest.

The fact they helped you find the loan doesn't change who pays the interest. If you contact the loan company they should give you an early resettlement figure so you can avoid more interest by paying it off with the returned fees1

Now if you were saying they were negligent and should never have offered you the treatment etc then you may have a case for reclaiming it from them but you'd still be liable to pay it in the first place.0
