Facebook on android not working.

At first I thought mobile data but it happens on the home WiFi also & has been happening for a few days now.
I open the app, get the Facebook F in the middle of the screen & that's all that ever happens.
Can't access via a browser as it says it'll text me a code which can take up to 12 hours but 48 hours later I still haven't received any.
Works fine on my wife's iphone.
Mine is a Galaxy S20.
Anyone else or ideas how to fix?

I would start by initially checking to make sure the app is up to date and if that doesn't make any difference remove and reinstall the app to start from scratch.1

Got it sorted now. The above didn't work unfortunately.
What did work in the end was installing Facebook Lite. Then when checking back on full fat Facebook, that was finally working.0
