    Open rent for the moment seems the best bet. I'll have to be very alert and try to be lucky. I will basically sacrifice location, and be in the middle of nowhere up to 45 minutes drive to Sheffield. I am not picky about furnishings nor condition of the house, as long as is legally liveable.

    Or else is go to a third country like Macedonia :( .

    Do someone know of a good facebook group to find real property without too many scams?

    If you don't drive look at the tram and rail links.

    The train from Shireoaks to Sheffield Centre is 20 minutes for example. You also have Kiveton on that line and Worksop.

    The tram in Sheffield will take you from Crystal Peaks or Middlewood into Sheffield in less than half an hour.

    Yes, I overall look at around 20 miles - 45 minutes drive to Sheffield. Then I see how is the public transport connections. Now I have for reached the application stage for one of them, but there is a few other applicants, so fingers crossed.
