Morinng..Stayed up late last night trying to sort out a spreadhseet of household bills, I kept getting it wrong with adding and the formulae, I think it's right now but I'll check it again. Feeling quite bluergh today and not like doing anything. I do have plans to sort out the bed linen box though, and maybe do some more clothes to charity, or put them in one of those big washing bags so I can't see them. I booked in the window people to come back the end of next week so I've got till then
Sometimes I wish I could click my fingers and all my stuff would be gone and I wouldnt feel guilty or wasteful but happy to have some space...I did pick up a lot of gardening magazines yesterday though so that will both keep me entertained and be immediately recyclable
think I'm just grumpy because I'm not well, I don't do unwell very well
Nanny, good to see you back, sorry about the bruises, bubble wrap suit for Christmas? Jackie, fingers crossed tomorrow goes ahead and goes well. camelot, I bet you could paint in your sleep nowScarlet, your day out osunds lovely! Coxy, you have some very illustrious travelling companions
snoozer, sounds lovely apart from the weather. TA, Rosy, I feel your pain, same here. Gers, I'm glad you feel less feral and that did give me a luagh! carolbee, check the areas you're interested in for future build estates , there are quite a lot fo them sprining up all over the place. I like it where I am [preferred it where I was before but people without millions can't be choosers] and I still love the essential flatness of it, and the big skies. I still feel hemmed in when I go home and drive on the Heads of the Valley road and feel like I'm being crushed by the sky two foot above my head. And the weather is better for growing things. Izzy, sounds like you live in a lovely village with impromptu steam engines and stuff
Take care all, stay dry more importantly!

Nanny, I've given up on ringing the surgery, either the phones didn't work or the queue was 20 people long by 2 minutes past 8 when they open the lines. I go round now, it takes me 15 minutes rather than an hour on the phone but I'm lucky to be able to do that.
I hope the aches and bruises are improving.
Izzy that sounds nasty, don't be a martyr, leave her to it.7 -
Afternoon everyone - it's taken me ages to read all your posts and catch up.
Zadar in Croatia was lovely - it's a beautiful town and the weather was gorgeous. Well apart from the first 15 minutes when we sat on the plane in the middle of torrential rain! By the time I got to the apartment it was lovely sunshine. DD organised me an Uber and met me at the apartment which was lovely and in a perfect place. We spent our days wandering around the narrow streets of the old town, lying in the sun, eating, drinking and chatting - it was very relaxing. We went on a boat to a little island about half an hour away and lay in the sun - DD swam and I had a paddle. My flight home was delayed a couple of hours yesterday but the airport had an outdoor seating place so I just sat and read my book. DD and little one picked me up from the station and we went to the Indian for tea - which was lovely - little one loves an Indian!
She's on her way up for a play - see you all tomorrow.
Snoozer my sympathies over the untidiness - my youngest DD was so messy when she lived at home - now she has her and little one's house spotless. Eldest was always tidy and still is. x9 -
Another wet day here but needed to go into town to visit the post office and opticians - I took 4 pairs of old glasses with me - The Lions collect them once a month.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
