Morning All
After quite a sunny and warm afternoon we are back to heavy rain this morning, the weather this summer has been awful.
The little one went home about 2pm yesterday, DD wanted to look through some old photos so they were here for quite a while. I was glad when they went home as I wanted to get on with some painting! She's back today for a while whilst DD is at work, I'll drop her at the swimming pool later.
Hope your bruises and bumps are healing Nanny, good to hear from you.
Good luck with the house sale Carolbee, how exciting!
No washing to do today but must run the vac about before the little one arrives - she was playing with some pine cones yesterday and the seeds are all over the place.
Happy Monday, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks.Everything outside is blanketed by low white cloud, it's very depressing. Yesterday started wet then ended up fairly lovely, back to open door times. My plans for today are to firstly do the weekly banking spreadsheet and then think about what's next.Lovely to see you back Nan, hope that you feel better soon. Happy Monday to all.10

Good morning, it's been raining here, yesterday was sunny and windy.
Nanny it's good to hear from you, sorry to read about your fall though.
Hope you had a good day in Harrogate TA, I like it there.
Good luck with your move Carolbee, Wiltshire is lovely, Dh has family there
Happy painting Camelot.
Rosyred you were saying the other day that you'd lost your card making mojo as well and had a lot of equipment - I have, and for that reason alone I'll have to get the mojo back.!!
We met up with ds1 and family at Tynemouth yesterday, went to the weekend market in the old railway station, and I bought some spices from the weigh it yourself place. It was very busy.
Then we moved on to the Fish Quay and had fish and chips, they were lovely
After a walk along the promenade we came home, it had been a really nice
day out.
Meeting a friend this morning at a local cafe so not far to go.
Thinking of our poorly people - Suffolk Sue I Hope your aches and pains have subsided.
Take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Good to see you @nannywindow and sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you're on the mend x
@snoozer - our dumping ground is the kitchen island. You're right, it only takes a second to pop something in it's place. So frustrating!
Hope you feel better soon @-taff x
I have done a couple of run/walks over the last few mornings. Was out early doors and did 5k. Would like to thank my running companions The Who, Katy Perry and the Bee Gees amongst others. Eclectic playlist or what. We have DDad here until Friday when we are visiting Buckingham Palace. No food shop done this weekend so I will order a delivery for tomorrow and pop out later for supplies for today/tonight.
Take care all,
Coxy

Morning all
Looking promising weather wise this morning so will get out and about soon.
Yesterday we took a whole load of baby stuff over to DD's, which she then sorted and put away in the newly awaited baby's room. A small bag of unwanted clothes were returned to me to take to a charity shop today. She wants to get everything ready for the end of August so she can then enjoy her last 6 weeks and also concentrate on getting their 4 year old started in Reception. I took sandwiches, crisps and h/m shortbread with me for everyone's lunch, which all got demolished.
Today I need to make a list and do some food shopping. We go away on Friday for a week so just need main meals for 4 nights really. Will pull something from the freezer for tonight; there are some meatballs in sauce lurking somewhere and we have green veg to go with it.
Happy Monday everyone.10 -
Hi everyone,
We had an unexpected day out yesterday, Chris rang and asked if we wanted to go to Stowe Gardens with them, which of course we did. Unfortunately it poured down most of the afternoon so we got soaked, but it was lovely to see them, Chris goes back to work tomorrow after his sabbatical which he's not looking forward to.
The rest of the family is back late afternoon and Laura starts her acupuncture practice tomorrow as well so it's all go atm.
Nanny, I'm glad you're ok, nice to see you posting.
Have a good day.

Morning folks. Can this summer get any more depressing thanks to the endless rain we are getting. Looked at the 10 day forecast hoping to see an improvement for August. Sadly not, the rain is going to stay with us.
Nothing exciting planned for today. I have a couple of dosset boxes to fill, end of month banking to do, some white washing to do (to be draped over the airer to dry yet again) and a few other mindless jobs. I have just got some chicken out to defrost before transforming it into something, yet to be decided, for my tea.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe xx
Editing to add best wishes for JACKIE.. Hope all goes well and you are discharged drainless. x

Morning all - I won't say 'good' cos it's horribly wet again, quite very depressing really. DH is back to work doing a job at my DB1s, probably there all week if they can get on with it with the rain, & DS1 is helping a mate out this week, doing something in a few towns in the NW. I might go and return my library books, that'll pass an hour on. I really need some sandwich meats but my order isn't due until Thursday. The only place I could go is the Mr S at the opposite end of town to the library and I'd get soaked....decisions decisions.Hardly used any for weeks but there isn't anywhere near DBs for DH & DS2 to get any dinner, and DS1 has said he'll take sandwiches this week to avoid spending in McDs every day!Snoozer & Scarlet, sounds like nice days out, and you're right I need to get my cardmaking head back on, though there aren't many birthdays for us in the next couple of months & I really can't think about the main event in December yetI've taken a pie out for tea for the menfolk, I'll decide on mine later.TA someone mentioned on FB that it rained on St Swithins day on the 15 July so there's a way to go yetHugs to all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it's a pretty damp day but not raining yet, yesterday was a complete wash out.
I've had a message from my surgery to ring a Rebecca, no idea who that is but I've tried and there were already 15 in the queue. I'll try again later, I should have known it would be difficult to get through as it's Monday morning after all.
We're going out this morning to look for a handrail for the bath as sadly we both need a helping hand getting out of it now. I still prefer a bath to a shower. While I'm out I'll call in Lidl for some ice cream which I forgot last week and Mr Fix It noticed they have tools in the middle aisle so he'll wander up and down for half an hour looking at every one. I'm sure he doesn't need any more as he already has a shed full to bursting point !
My bruises are all shades of the rainbow but will be covered up so as I don't frighten the locals, can't do much about the bandaged foot though, or the limp.
Have a good day everyone and fingers crossed for Jackie's op.
Take care all
