Cancelled emergency plumbing job as they weren’t prompt enough

I don’t believe companies can charge fees for cancellation unless it’s ‘reasonable’. I don’t see any loss for the company in this (they moved the job because their book was filled with another job), and in fact you may have faced a loss by waiting. I don’t see how theres any costs in the parts they may have bought considering they didn’t know what the job was yet (as they hadn’t been to examine it yet!).I think this is unlawful from them, and I would definitely press (and keep pressing) until they refund you. If they don’t I would attempt to persue by small claims.1

The court service has awarded judgment to me. I need to pay the bailiff fee. I’ve called twice – they take ages to answer, then ask security questions, then put me in the queue for the payment team – I gave up after waiting for half an hour. Is there another way to pay?! Thanks for any helpful advice

Out of interest did the plumbing co attend / defend the case, or was the judgement given in default?
Might inform the chances of set asides / disputes at the point of recovery.0 -
Get it moved to the high court and get high court sheriff onto it.0

The OP would need the court to issue a writ of enforcement which must be posted to the HCHO of their choice.
The County Court will not issue a writ of enforcement unless the amount owing under the CCJ is £600 or more.
The OP's claim is for £144.

Please explain what that means.... I think it was all done by post & defendant didn't reply to the court.0
