Bird Fat Ball recommendations

Wilko has failed to pay rates for three months on all 400 of its stores according to today’s Times.
It’s a terrible shame because I used to regularly buy their premium fat balls there, which the birds absolutely loved. They were far cheaper than the equivalent product in my local garden centre but they have been unavailable far too often of late*.
Their tubs of chicken manure pellets are also extremely good value and make an excellent compost heap accelerator.
I will miss Wilko terribly.
* I have just checked online and my local Wilko has stock. Hallelujah!0 -
Just for the benefit of others following this thread, I can confirm that the 'Bucktons Fat/Energy/Suet Balls, Pack of 150' as recommended earlier in this thread were happily eaten by my fussy garden girds, They're the same size as Wilko's, maybe firmer, and sold by Amazon resellers & eBay. Last week I got 150 balls delivered, no courier fee, for £18.90. Today I note the resellers all want nearer £22, well I suppose that's supply & demand economics with Wilko looking unreliable.
Having said that, my local Wilko now have stock again, slightly cheaper than the above (£6 for a tub of 50), but for who knows for how long? It will be a sad loss if this much loved family business doesn't survive.0
