I pay for all of my holidays with my credit card however I booked a holiday over the phone and realised I'd done it with my debit card. I've only paid the deposit so far - best to pay the rest with a credit card for protection?

Depends what exactly you've booked and who with. You may find you have another protection (i.e ATOL if it's a proper package).
Section 75 is good protection though so would be worth paying the balance with a credit card. You may be able to pay off part of the balance now on your credit card if you really wanted the protection ASAP.0 -

It's with TUI and so is ATOL protected.
It's an AI package.
