Another one from a family member who walked past this one in Brighton today:

I mean clamping only became a criminal offence a mere thirteen years ago but the IPC clearly reckons this is perfectly acceptable.

Nothing at all about UKGDPR-required data collection/use info, nothing about surveillance except a random camera icon (which suggests to an average person that the purpose is security, which it isn't).

Nothing readable about any debt recovery fee add-on (clue: it's buried in that small print but not quantified). Again blowing out of the water the excuse that "it's a deterrent".

£100 is in big text ✅

Terms are large and non-cluttered ✅

But nothing whatsoever to support PPC World's excuse that increasing the massive charge again to £170 is 'a deterrent'.

It's not even mentioned, as usual, and the deterrent is the £100 parking charge itself.

Kingston Hospital, 1 June.  IAS firm who add unspecified charges if original sum not paid - could be £5, could be £5m. Does their choice of wording specifying the driver being responsible for such additional charges mean keeper can't be even if pursued under PoFA?

Very few signs, large areas of car park without signs at all, tiny font, mention of additional charges (in tiny font at knee level) but not quantified, plus an additional charge for using the pay by App method.




Hopefully this video should show that Pay Machine touch pads will generate spurious random characters if your hand or perhaps the cuff of a jacket is near the screen but not actually touching it because they are proximity screens, not true touch pads.
