Found this consultation response from the Civil Court Users Association to Q4.5

and another response from the Registry Trust Ltd. I'd never heard of this Registry Trust. For anyone else who hasn't their role is to maintain the official statutory public Register of Judgments, Orders, and Fines on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

The CCUA's response appears to lack any evidence to support their opinion that debt recovery fees prevents legal action and neither seem to recognise motorists only option for a fair and impartial hearing is court.

    Thanks for finding these.

Because both have been 'told' that court claim numbers will go up if DRA fees are banned (a complete lie, trotted out by PPC World and bulk litigators who know full well that in fact their house of cards will fall over and need a re-shuffle and re-build, with fewer cards) it looks like both were got at by this group of parking firms seeking to twist the truth:

It is worrying because I suspect the MoJ will just believe the CCUA.  It is complete tripe trotted out basically by an association of bulk litigators.

I think the MoJ are in danger of swallowing every word that 'court case numbers will hugely increase' even though they've stood by and done precisely NOTHING for TEN YEARS despite knowing that parking court claims went from 600 in 2012 to around 400,000 in 2022.

Right under their noses. Shame on you MoJ.

And I wonder WHY that happened, eh?  Why the exponential increase in ten years in THIS unregulated industry alone and not in other trader-consumer contracts?

Hopefully the DLUHC see through it all and suss that it is precisely the added £70 per PCN which has fed bulk litigation.

Cut off that blood supply and it halts.

And that's what the likes of DCBLegal - set up in 2017 and having gone from 0 to 100,000 p.a. bulk claims in 5 years DON'T WANT THE DLUHC TO WORK OUT.

    But hopefully not the DLUHC?

    Hopefully not. I've tried.

They do listen. I am hopeful but not about the deluded MoJ whose role in all this over the past 10 years has been as 'bulk litigation enablers'. No questions asked. Nothing done.

I saw that daft alarmist crap about '3 million extra claims' and in my submissions to the DLUHC I exposed it as a lie.

Not been down to London for few years but completed and sent. It's a very simple tick box survey. Their proposed cost increases to already high charges is shocking.

Boxes duly ticked. Eye-watering increases to already appalling levels. The most motorist-unfriendly place in the country. Avoid it as much as possible.
