More sticker signs at the same car park
And this is what the sign should look like.Wow that's great evidence!
Not only have ParkingEye failed to maintain the signs at their 'flagship' (Supreme Court anti-consumer victory) car park but that's evidence of crappy stickers used to replace entire signs...
In fact the 'sign' is in itself a giant sticker.
So, if ParkingEye tell the DLUHC that they use 'metal signs' that cost £xxx each, to replace, then I hereby invite the DLUHC to PLEASE CALL THAT OUT with this sign as evidence.
... and they have not increased the £85 in a decade since Barry Beavis parked there in late 2013 (and he wasn't a rogue driver and he did nothing wrong, having been delayed by Staples' printer breaking).
Debunks the IPC's trashy argument where they bleat: "waaah, parking charges need to increase with inflation!" If that were true this sign would be £100. But it's not.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks. An excellent read.
One parking experience like that Lord in the car park is worth multiple emails to your MP. And there'll be more like him who've experienced the mugging by the PPCs.
They'll surely outnumber any who have a retainer from the parking industry.

Lord Leigh of Hurley...oh dear. Embarrassing to listen to.
IMHO absolute crap PPC-speak throughout.
Such pro-PPC carefully-fed spiel that I thought for a minute it was the other Hurley.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great to know Lord Lipsey's not a fan. Good on him to give such an accurate account of the PPC's and their practices.
Agree with @Coupon-mad about Lord Leigh of Hurley. He's clearly fan of the private parking industry.1 -
mmm. Lord Leigh of Hurley, aka Howard Leigh, current Conservative Party treasurer and co-founder of Cavendish Corporate Finance clearly has no postbag of parking complaints as he's never been an MP. In speaking he showed no interest in PPCs behaviour, rather focussed on proposed £50/£25 fines being no deterrent when shared by four people in a car. Also argued £100 then equates to £137 now with inflation.
So opposition can be expected.3 -

Comments will be made in certain quarters. I'm confident that the DLUHC already know much of what that PPC-favouring toff spouted is misleading PPC dross.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
