Same site?  So, is it £85, or £70?  Looks 'cheaper' to park where parking is forbidden, than overstaying where it is permitted.  Typical PPC 'anything goes' opportunity for a cash grab. Presumably the BPA picked this discrepancy up in their signage audit? Or perhaps it just rattled through on their audit conveyor belt and had the rubber stamp applied.  Bonk-bonk, like an old fashioned Post Office counter.

So at Sainsburys Hornchurch, the sign(s) would suggest unlimited parking between 6.00pm and 7.00am on Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday.

    Tesco Extra
    St Peters Drive
    Worcester
    WR5 3SW

    HORIZON PARKING

    £70 PCN

...is more than enough; even for a site purportedly used for 'car meets':

    Tesco Superstore

    Richmondshire Walk
    Catterick
    DL9 3EN

    INCLUDES:
    • Petrol Filling Station
    • Tesco Café
    • Tesco Travel Money
    • F&F Clothing
Right next to a Cinema and other retail park next door, so could be abused by staff and patrons of other businesses.

But Tesco shelved plans to reduce the free parking time down to 2 hours.

They left it at 3 hours (and the £70 PCN remained unaltered):

    HORIZON PARKING

    £70 PCN - IS A SUFFICIENT DETERRENT

A relative works at Worthing Hospital where UKPC infest with £100 charges.

There are lots of signs (a good thing) but none have £100 readable (bad thing!) because the wording is tiny and the signs high up.

    Worthing Hospital
    West Sussex

    Separate staff Car Park

This sign is a good two or three feet above the head of my relative, a six foot man and the wall that this sign is placed on is actually a building outside the car park:

And Google Streetview shows a tree hides the entrance sign if you approach from the North:

and UKPC's entrance P sign has fallen down.  Someone has plonked a sticker over what used to say 'Excess Charge' notice:

So it now just says vaguely, with no £££:
"YOU WILL BE ISSUED WITH A ...NOTICE"

IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE YOU ARE RISKING £100.  Even if you walk up to a sign:

    UNREADABLE SIGNS = NO DETERRENT

    Sainsburys in Dawlish today £60:

Many thanks for posting this evidence.

And we should see more like this - no diluting of the deterrent by including any unnecessary words about a discount.

No PPC sign should state a discount.
