You can certainly answer the questions with evidence.  The DLUHC are encouraging responses.

Bear in mind though, that there is planned to be a final Public Consultation after this, where the questions should be less industry-focussed.

Wherever you have collected your own evidence, such as photos of sites with no PPC or sites where the parking charge level is £70 or less, before any discount, send an email to the DLUHC email address with the photos (evidence) and mark each photo with the question number to which it relates, plus a brief comment why it's relevant.

I put Response to the DLUHC's call for evidence in the subject line. Note that you are not limited to answering only questions aimed at motorists. In fact it's important to answer questions aimed at the parking industry so the DLUHC gets the motorists' perspective as well.

Your comments and opinions are just as important as photo evidence as well.,

Of the many private car parks I have visited, very few have well maintained signs. Well maintained does not just mean they are clean, undamaged, and legible. It must also mean they can be seen and are not obstructed by foliage, scaffolding, portakabins or containers etcetera.

Consideration must be given to the siting of the signs from day 1 to ensure they can be easily inspected and maintained.

I took this image the day after UKPC installed signs at Weston-super-Mare hospital in October 2018. It is obvious from this that the parking operator never had any intention of maintaining the sign at all and therefore the cost to the operator is zero.

The consultation does also ask for any other evidence. I think we could all raise this issue in our individual response to the consultation and attach photos of signs where it states "driver must not leave site" as the supporting evidence.

I don't recall any UKPC "driver must not leave the site" signs posted here but I've posted a TPS one plus another with no PPC name on it.
