Sainsbury Dundee DD5 Scotland. NO PARKING TIME RESTRICTIONS. PPC employed to monitor
£70 looks to be a sticker.
In another area of the car park I came across this odd sign.
    Different PPC.
  • Long time reader of this forum and always impressed by the experts fight against the money grasping limpets of the private parking world. The sooner the government gets to grips with this cancer, the better. I’ve taken a number of photos as asked for in this topic and if I’m allowed I’ll start doing that now. I’m mindful that one of the notes on my MSE opening page suggests that as a new poster I can’t upload photos until I’ve served a bit more time, but I’ll try anyway.

The first couple of photos are of the car park at Aldi Ruabon (near Wrexham) and within a quarter of a mile of the main commuter artery of the A483 with easy access north to Wrexham, Chester, Wirral, Manchester and south to Oswestry, Shrewsbury and the Midlands. Ideal spot for 4 cars in, 1 car out car sharing commuter run. A huge car park but no sign of any abuse, nor of Aldi’s pet parking firm Parkingeye. Looks like locals don’t need the heavy hand of a pariah in their midst.

Forgot to mention this in my previous post. Since my last visit to Gallagher retail park in Dundee Euro carparks signs have been breeding they're now on every lamppost in the car park. With a new sign at the car park entrance and on the wall beside every shop's entrance door. First time I've seen that. Maybe it's in BPA's unpublished updated COP. Sadly PCN remains at £100.
  • Seems I can post photos after all. Still on the same site as Aldi Ruabon is Costa with their own look-alike version of a parking firm notice. The small car park is equally vulnerable to 4 in, 1 out commuting, but not affected.

  • Costa car park.

  • Nearby (1.5 miles) is Tesco Cefn Mawr. Pretty convenient for 4 in, 1 out abuse - but no evidence I’ve ever seen. No need for PPC infestation, nor has it been put in place. Always a busy store, but never any shortage of parking space - even at Christmas.

    Back later with more.
  • Next up into Wrexham city itself and two large sites - Border Retail Park and Tesco, with an adjacent small, members only car park for a social club.

Seems the (faded) yellow “Members Only” marking is sufficient to preserve the car park for Members Only!  Despite Ocean (covering Border RP) and Horizon (Tesco), the tiny social club has not succumbed to the suits offering free car park management. Ocean could do with sending one of their people out with a lopper to trim back that foliage. There’s a Wickes on site in case they need to buy one. Very few people seem to use the Border car park these days which makes you wonder what affect is being felt by the businesses there.
