Yet it shows £60/£70 at a major hospital is considered sufficient deterrent by SABA, similar to the photo at University hospital Croydon that I posted in 2023, showing 'up to £70' and literally NOTHING about DRA fees:Coupon-mad said in 2023: My friend's daughter works at Croydon University Hospital (formerly called Mayday Hospital)
530 London Road
Thornton Heath
London
CR7 7YE
In May 2023 they changed their parking operator to SABA, also at Purley War Memorial Hospital, as confirmed here:
https://www.croydonhealthservices.nhs.uk/trust-news/our-paybyphone-parking-provider-is-changing-from-2-may-4837/
At Mayday they have over 400 parking spaces and it is hard to park for visitors and for staff.
"UP TO £70"
= A SUFFICIENT DETERRENT EVEN IN A BUSY STAFF PARKING AREA
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That's a heck of a lot of unreadable terms, some of which look like they aren't parking related!Indeed. Some are quite ridiculous and surely can't attract a pcn.
'No repairs' - a flat tyre can't be changed in the car park!!
SABA will be carrying out the landowner's wishes (so Kaizen2024 says) the landowners here are the Scottish Ministers!!!3 -
A business park at Harold Wood Romford, sign taken from this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6591770/c-u-p-enforcement-popla-appeal/p1Nothing about DRA fees.
The PCN itself is the deterrent. Doesn't have to be £100 to have credible deterrent value.
Could be £50 or £60 (as in the hospital pics above) and it would still be a deterrent if the signs were prominent, large and well-placed where they are seen.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Tesco, Tring, Herts. £70
Extra costs not quantified in either of the 2 places on the sign that mention them:
1) "failure to make prompt payment may incur additional costs" (what period is"prompt"?);
2) in even smaller font: "additional charges may be incurred if further action needs to be taken after 28 days..."

Ipswich Hospital, Suffolk
Car Park D (other car parks are available)
PCN as deterrent (£70), a LOT going on on this sign, lot's of ways to pay (before, after, passes etc), only states "If the parking charge remains unpaid beyond 28 days, recovery charges in respect of further action may apply" - which means nothing at all. No amount mentioned, no deterrent.
Despite all these options, the person paying on this day was unable to do so as both the ANPR system was down (no recognition of VRMs for anyone when entered into the touchscreen) - therefore asking for the entry time of that vehicle, and no card or contactless phone payments accepted. Evology is a pay on arrival (even though this is a pay on Exit car park clearly titled so), and it wasn't taking someone else's cash.
The ESNEFT Hospital staff that answer the phones at the weekend was telling people that Parking Eye had sent an engineer out Friday or Saturday, they had removed the 'out of order' signs stating they were 'in order' but the same issue that had plagued the car park all week persisted into the weekend.
Driver was advised to call one of the 3 numbers on the machine to 'make payment' the next day!!! attempted, no answer - awaiting the PCN to keeper soon!

Tesco Express, Nacton rd, ipswich, today. (Same as when I posted it last year). £70 PCN with unspecified extra charges
