Next to a school and shops with no parking.

Does get busy, apparently but Tesco allows local shoppers to use it for the good of other businesses and reportedly extended the previous 2 hours to 3 hours free parking whether you shop there or not:

My relative says this is a small Co-op but this car park - less than a dozen bays - is never full despite being on the main road and near schools.

Off a main road. Busy area but not sure what Excel have done here!  Driven people away?

Not much custom, it seems.

And my relative says locals consider it a deserted 'white elephant' of a car park that Excel are seemingly doing nothing useful to monetise the land for the retailer.

Could be used as a Park & Ride or for all day parking at a price but no...

Showing this because my contact found that the signs are poor; very high on poles and the usual wordy "gobbledegook" identified by more than one Judge as inadequate.

How can ANPR be described as 'parking management' when disabled bays are ignored, not monitored and don't even have a sign saying 'Blue Badges', let alone any contractual t&cs.

 Floors2U shop on Mawney Road, Romford, Essex, no PPC, just clear signage. Whereas Tesco express further along road has 30 mins free parking or £70 parking charge.

The width of the parking bays would seem like a dream come true for a circling PPC!  Beamerguy would be slapped!

Interesting take on parking in extremely rural areas.  I forgot to take a photo of the board but there are several small parking areas along the East Lincolnshire Coast at Theddlethorpe and Saltfleet where Natural England have introduced voluntary parking payments via Ringo.  They recognise the poor mobile phone and internet access so just ask people to pay if they wish to and are able to.  There are miles of stunning mostly empty golden sandy beaches but no facilities beyond parking.
