That one is £100 in tiny writing.

    Doesn't support PPC World's:

"a large penalty is needed as a deterrent, and the impossible to read term on that sticker about adding even more - an unspecified sum - for 'debt recovery' is another deterrent"

    desperate narrative lie, does it?!

That message is also placed at twice the height of the cars.  Impossible to argue there's any credible deterrent value.

  • So far from the pictures we see, the charges differ from area to area. In my area, ALL charges are £100 yet in another area, they are £70 ?
Same retail outlets  and no doubt the same traffic flow

How can these companies substantiate different charges ?   This must be price fixing which is anti consumer

THE UK AIR TRAFFIC PROBLEM THIS WEEKEND ?
I wonder how many parking cowboys who operate at airports will cash in on this ?

    AND ...

John Lewis results: £234m loss means no staff bonus and looming job losses

OK, HIGH COMPETITION and people shopping online plays a big part  and no doubt they lost touch.
But, with their supermarket arm Waitrose, who employ parking cowboys, why would anyone risk a charge of £70 - £100  just because they overstayed by spending money at the store

The same applies to all supermarkets where their seems to be no intelligence about retaining customers

The first Supermarket to announce REAL FREE PARKING, no cowboys, will see their profits increase and that means more money to the treasury

    Chichester Retail Park, West Sussex.

    Photos taken by a friend.

Also known as Portfield Retail Park.  It's large and on the main A27, on the outskirts of Chichester with a huge car park.

Harveys or Bensons, can't recall which

    M&S Foodhall

    No restrictions needed.  NO PPC.

No-one abuses the accessible bays that my family has ever seen.  It's popular and busy but there ere are always spaces even at January sale time.

    No PPC

I finally managed to get back to the Waitrose park at Alton Railway Station in Hants to take pics of the detailed charges.  Please see latest below.  One chap getting into the lift gave me a knowing, even delighted, grin so supporters are plainly everywhere...

I resent having to pay parking at hospitals, however Ipswich hospital think £70 is acceptable and the system shows a pic of car and entry time when paying, the pay on exit works better than most systems
