Travelling to Spain - Spth App or other VISA needed

We're travelling to the Canary Islands next week and a friend asked if I had completed the Spth app. I was certain you didn't need to do this anymore but he was convinced you still did.

I thought you don't need to do anything e.g VISA, COVID tests, COVID vaccine passports, or health/Spth app etc

Now having a sudden panic in case i'm wrong and you do need something in addition to an in date passport.

All you need is a valid passport.

What passport do you hold?

I went to Spain last month and the only document I provided was a British passport.

Your sudden panic is ill founded, you have been misinformed. A valid passport  is the only current requirement to visit Spain for short term  visits, for British  passport holders.

if you are a UK citizen you currently only need a valid UK passport . I travel to see my daughter in Spain regularly and just need my passport
