"We cancelled a sale for your security" message from eBay

I have just received a message from ebay, which has the subject line shown above.

I sold the item on 27th July and after receiving payment notification from eBay, the item was posted off yesterday

It was actually handed in at my local EVRi collection point and for the first time ever, the driver had just arrived to collect the parcels, so i actually placed it min his bag, after the shop owner handed me the receipt.

What do I do now .. will I be able to keep the money paid or will ebay deduct it

I can't see how ebay could refund the buyer the money after you have sent the item unless they sent the message at least a day before it was sent. Even then I still think they should allow you to keep the money if you have sent the item as you have done everything required from the selller's point of view.

I had this recently about a week after the buyer purchased a £50 item.....obviously buyer had item delivered in that time with delivery confirmation from RM. Anyway, eBay haven't taken funds off me and can't imagine they would so same in your case if you've notified eBay you've sent the item which you've done and only doing what you should have done, being eBay. You should be fine - also means buyer can't SNAD you or leave neg feedback at least.
