Faulty Landis and Gyr Libra 310p Gas Meter
I’ve just received an OFMAT gas meter test certificate which states my meter was faulty beyond testing. My energy company should have received a copy too. Do I wait for the energy company to contact me or should I start the ball rolling and contact them? How long on average should I have to wait to get my account righted. I believe my gas meter has been faulty since a letter b appeared on the meter screen last Autumn. Can I claim for this far back? Any advice would be grateful, thank you.

Thank you, I have read these threads and past the stage of waiting for the OFMAT result. I was just wondering if anyone had reached a successful conclusion and how long it took after getting the required certificate as proof.1

I'm just going to tag @MeteredOut here as he's hoping to get an OFMAT test sometime soon!

EDF have still not responded to the ombudsman's decision (made on 25/7) to schedule and OFMAT for my faulty meter. They were given 28 days to do so.QrizB said:I'm just going to tag @MeteredOut here as he's hoping to get an OFMAT test sometime soon!
To the OP, that ombudsman decision stated that once a meter is in place and "real" usage determined, I should be made right back to the period where I moved to EDF (Sep 2021). I first noticed the issue in August 2022 (yes, its taken almost a year to get here) and I have photographic evidence of the diagnostic code showing prior to me joining EDF. My meter is Landis+Gry too, but a non-smart meter model.
If yours is a smart meter and you can show your readings went up when the 'b' appeared, you should be pushing to be made right back to that date, via the ombudsman if required.
Personally, I'd be contacting the supplier, and be ready to say what you want. If you have prior readings that were "normal" then come up with a figure you want to get the matter closed, or if you don't, you may have to agree to monitor usage going forward for a few months, and then use that to extrapolate backwards (that's what I'll be doing).

Was wondering how long it took for you to receive your gas meter testing results back as we have been waiting for 6 months. Thank you0
