Octopus Missing Gas data in download

I recently signed up to Octopus and was downloading my gas and electric usage data from their website.

Everything went fine for a few weeks, but then randomly the gas data for a period of about 13 hours on 25th/26th July is missing - it's not just set to zero, those lines are completely missing from the file, which is obviously annoying if you are putting all the entries for both electric and gas into the same spreadsheet :)

Is this a regular occurrence, and if so do they try to retrieve the data later or is it just "lost".  If lost, how do the bill you if you actually used gas in that time (which I did).

    Data gets corrupted:

If this is the case, the data is not included in the App. Missing gas data really isn’t an issue for billing as Octopus will bill on index readings which come through in addition to the XML data usage file. Electricity (smart tariffs) require 30 minute usage data.

Where do I find that screen?

I am looking on the new energy dashboard and the old one.

On the old one, currently my gas meter does not let me go further back than yesterday (the arrow to go back to the prior day is greyed out), even though the data is available in the IOS app (except for what I said is missing above).

What happens if this happens with Electricity data and you are on a TOU tariff - they just guess/estimate the missing period?

    Via the App Octo-Aid.

Read the terms and conditions that you signed up to. All Octopus smart meter tariffs are beta. The supplier will attempt a manual data pull to recover missing data via its Adapter Service. If the data is lost or corrupted, then you have agreed that you can be billed at Octopus’ flexible tariff rate. In my experience, this rarely happens.
