Morning. Yesterday was surprisingly dry and fairly sunny, not sure about today. There is a load of washing to put on but I'm not decided yet. Did my falafel and spicy chicken yesterday so they are made and will probably be frozen , the chicken anyway and I made as tzatziki which is , and I say it, absolutely spot on because I discovered the secret ingredient in authentic tasting ones was, would you believe, white wine vinegar. I picked up a bench yesterday so will be sanding and fixing that [one wobbly arm] today to paint over the weekend. OH has helpfully given me a cold so coughing sneezing and snotting are on the cards for the next few days. I'm sick of it [literally, ha ha!] already.Gers, glad you had a nice time and are now home nesting
camelot, it probably is taking you longer, covid is the gift that keeps giving. WL, it does sound like fun. A friend has bought [what she calls] a squisher for his daughter, she loves it. Bella, haven't seen her since the forum revamp so she may be locked out or something. Izzy, sounds like a good purchase then. And a useful tool..And families can be like that. OHs stepdads daughter didn't speak to him for years. She's just started again in the last year, bringing her children round, attending family gatherings etc. I think she realised she and they were missing out. Jackie, how lovely they got to dig treasure, runer beans next year?
Scarlet, enjoy the day of mooch. Sufflok Sue, hope your hip has eased off...Take care all, shout to the mia and the holidaymakers..

Hi everyone,
I had a bit of a lie in after a couple of wakeful hours at 4am. Camelot, I am the same, I seem to catch things more easily, be sicker with them and then take forever to recover and I have wondered if it's the result of having covid.
Well we are alone and I am torn between having a weekend of sloth and going through the house doing the things that are so difficult with the family around. I think today will be a day of sloth mainly although I have an order to pick up from Milton Keynes IKEA this afternoon.
I've been wondering about Nanny too, I hope you're OK Nanny.
Have a good day.12 -
Ben and Jack two of my DGS popped around for a coffee this morning, they are such good lads Ben weeded the front drive for me and Jack hoovered the sitting room. They just want me to get the op. out of the way, and get my mojo back bless them.
Its clouded over really black outside at the moment, but its still very warm.. Just going to make a snack lunch and put my feet up and do a little knitting, and watch a bit of something on my TiVo box
I usually record plenty as I prefer watching what I like rather than stuff thats 'live' (unless of course it tennis)
I think I will fill the red pepper in the fridge with some of the grated left over cheese ,and pop it into my remoska for lunch as its quick and easy.
I have the other chunk of carrot cake Jack brought round for me yesterday to eat for pudding with a cuppa a bit later. I'm trying to make sure there is very little of anything left in the fridge before I go into hospital on Tuesday, as I don't know how long I will be in for a couple of days at least I think depends how things pan out
Hope everyone is having a good Friday another month almost gone already Tempus really is fugit at the moment

Hi all,
Very late to the party today, apologies. Thanks for the start @nmlc x
I received a 'you've been successful for VR' letter yesterday with details 'to follow in August' so I'm back to waiting. Managed a 5k walk/run at 6am which has set me up for the day and feeling really good both physically and mentally now. Hope it lasts!
Dinner tonight is SW chicken curry - we were meant to have it on Tuesday but did chicken pasta instead.
Haircut tomorrow and eyebrow threading being done too. We then need to shop for a gift for FIL - so difficult to buy for so may delegate that to DH!
I too am missing @nannywindow and her updates. You okay Nanny?
Glad you had a good time in Glasgow @Gers
May as well get some benefits from the workplace @IzzyBee, good on you!
Has your front door been done yet @-taff or did I miss that? Photos please
Have a good evening all
Coxy
