Whatsapp update on iPhone issue

Hi, I've got a bizarre issue with whatsapp on my iphone xr. It says "This version of whatsapp will expire in 1 day. Please go to the app store to update it

When I do that it says Your apple ID ( daughter's email) or password is incorrect. Please try again.

I don't know why her email address is coming up. She may have logged into her whatsapp account on my phone in the past but it won't accept her password, or mine.

If I go directly the the app store and try and download anything else it knows it is my account and works fine.

Please can anyone help?

    maybe back up app and uninstall
    then install fresh again

    You have to back up anyway (at least on Android) as the installation fetches your latest back-up towards the end of the process.

    If she installed it from the App Store when she was logged in then it will be associated to her ID.

    Just delete the app and reinstall from the App Store logged in as yourself.
