Cheap and Quiet Chalet on the Coast

I've posted on here before asking for European holidays with a thermal spring suited to a backpacker. I've had some great ideas, but with the immense heatwave over there, I don't think it's appropriate to visit. So, I'm thinking of staying in the UK instead. Where is there a cheapish (don't wish to be a skinflint, but somewhere reasonably-priced) where there's the coastal path/beach and within reach of a a reliable bus route? I would have camped, but with a lot of rain wer're getting, I think staying in a chalet would be better. I've not stayed in one before, so I've no idea how to go about this (nor caravans). I'm not keen on noisy sites with lots of families around - sorry folks! I guess I'm asking for a lot. I've been to North Norfolk coast lots of times and have enjoyed it there, but want to try somewhere different. Don't mind where it is, as long it's got nice footpaths and good scenery.
TIA.

Search on airbnb, loads of choice and options if you don't get too frustrated by their search and sorting interface Also look at wigwam holiday website, stayed in a few over the years, but they aren't as cheap as they once were.

There might be suitable properties on any of the main sites such as travel chapter but having sea views raises the prices. Most holiday parks cater for families though some have adult only themed periods which offer tribute bands etc so you might be better off looking for studios or annexs in areas served by train or coach and check out local transport and shopping options. The weather might be okay for walking if appropriately dressed but not carrying shopping down country roads or footpaths unless in a suitable rucksack.1

Cheap and close to the beach often don't go hand in hand. You mention a bus route, does this mean that you do not drive?
If you do drive and have access to a car, it may be worth going somewhere a tad further away from the coast. Drive down each day and then drive back. That'll give you more affordable options.

Thanks for the links, folks. I'll try and call them tomorrow to query about prices. I don't mind paying for a few hundred if it's gives me what I need. (Normally, I camp, or go by Airbnb but haven't been on a holiday since the pandemic, so I can treat myself.
I don't drive, so I'll be using public transport to get there, so that will be a challenge to work out the logistics of getting to a certain place, and also, finding reliable bus services to travel around the area. I'm a walker, so I'd like to find some nice footpaths.
