You need to check with them but I believe they have treated one of your e-mails as a proposalsilverchoice said:
I don’t know. All I’ve done is sent them a few emails asking questions and also details of similar houses in lower bands.lincroft1710 said:

It is a possibility, but judging from recent posts on here, the VOA are more likely to say Band E is correct. What band did you ask for in your appeal?silverchoice said:
Does that mean they will review the evidence and may reduce my band ?lincroft1710 said:Stock acknowledgement letterIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I have the appeal form. Wouldn’t I have to propose what band I think my house should be in?You need to check with them but I believe they have treated one of your e-mails as a proposal0 -
"Thank you for your proposal" on the letter.
They clearly think you have made a proposal, probably because you have been saying "I think my house should be like this other one".0 -
CSIY has just reinforced my thinking on this, you have (unknowingly) made a proposalIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Does this mean I can’t formally appeal using the form if they don’t reduce my band?lincroft1710 said:CSIY has just reinforced my thinking on this, you have (unknowingly) made a proposal0 -
From the correspondence you have received from the VOA it would appear your e-mail(s) has been accepted as a formal appeal. Therefore if the VOA do not agree that your band should be reduced and you still believe it should be, the matter will proceed to a Valuation Tribunal Hearingsilverchoice said:CSI_Yorkshire said:"Thank you for your proposal" on the letter.
